Delete your Peachy account
This page explains how to delete your account in Peachy – Social Network, and exactly what happens to your data when you do.
Delete it yourself, in the app
Deletion is self-service and takes effect immediately.
- Open Peachy and sign in.
- Tap You in the navigation bar.
- Tap the settings (gear) icon, then Settings.
- Scroll to Delete account and tap it.
- Confirm. Your account is deleted right away.
The same steps work on iOS, Android and the web app. You do not need to contact us first, and there is nothing to pay or cancel.
Ask us to delete it instead
If you can’t sign in, or you’d rather we did it, email support@pchy.app from any address and tell us the phone number on the account. We’ll verify that the number is yours before deleting anything, then confirm when it’s done — within 30 days, and usually far sooner. Ask in the same email if you want a copy of your data first.
What is deleted
Deleting your account erases, permanently and immediately:
- Your profile — display name, email address and profile photo.
- Your phone number and your @handle, both released so they can be used to sign up again later. Your public page at pchy.app/handle stops working immediately, and the handle goes back into circulation for anyone — including you — to claim.
- Every sign-in session and registered device, including push notification tokens. All your devices are signed out at once.
- Contacts you uploaded from your address book, and any connected external accounts such as Facebook, together with the identifiers linking them to you.
- Your Meet profile in full — the personal details on it, your photos, any ID verification record, and your matches.
- Everything Peachy worked out about you: notification triage decisions and instructions, the per-surface briefs, and the feed curation built from them.
- Accounts you followed and accounts that followed you.
- Group invitations you sent, and your membership in every group.
- Photos, videos and other files you uploaded, deleted from our storage.
- Which conversations you had read, and how far.
What is kept, and why
Two things survive deletion, and it is worth being plain about both.
- Messages you sent become blanks. The text and any attachments are erased, but an empty placeholder stays in the conversation and is labelled as deleted. This is so the people you were talking to keep a readable history — replies still point at the right message, and the order of their conversation doesn’t scramble. Nothing you wrote can be recovered or read from it, by us or by anyone else.
- Usage statistics stay, without you attached. Counts of how the app was used remain in our analytics, permanently disconnected from your account and from any identifier that points back to you. They cannot be re-linked to you afterwards.
People who added you to their own phone’s address book still have you there — that is their device, not our record, and deleting your Peachy account does not reach into it.
How long it takes
Deleting from within the app is immediate: the data above is erased as you confirm, and uploaded files are removed from storage moments later. There is no grace period and no way to undo it, so export anything you want to keep first. After that we retain nothing about you except the two items named above, unless the law requires us to keep something.
