The moment it works again. Find the people doing teardowns, hunting parts, and posting the first start-up video.
Restorers share a specific joy: the thing runs again. Tell Peachy you're into old cars, hand planes, or dead radios, and teardown threads and parts leads surface for you. The day someone near you lists a box of vintage tools, your phone buzzes before the box is gone.
Berkeley packs a remarkable number of scenes into a few square miles. Tell Peachy you're looking in Berkeley and posts from people nearby surface for you, whether they're up in the hills, down by the marina, or a few blocks off Shattuck. The rest of the East Bay is one "a little farther" away.
You describe what you’re looking for the way you’d tell a friend, and your Feed shows the posts from your friends, mutuals and communities that match.
“Show me restoration projects: cars, tools, furniture, anything.”
“Buzz me when vintage tools turn up for sale near Berkeley.”
“Rust removal and refinishing questions, send them all my way.”
Sign up with your phone number. Peachy is a chat app: your people, your group chats and your communities.
Your Feed starts as everything, newest first. Turn on a paragraph filter, a few plain words like the examples above, place included, and only matching posts show. Turn it off any time.
Your Feed shows posts from your friends, mutuals and communities: all of them, or only the ones that match your paragraph. Public posts from everyone else stay under Public, and your private chats are never part of it.
